Low bowls are some of the most maintenance-intense elements in a commercial landscape. The CWF Low Bowl container irrigation is a self-watering system designed to solve this problem. For over 30 years Tournesol’s proven vacuum-sensor watering system has precisely controlled moisture levels in the soil, watering the plant when the soil starts to dry. The oversize reservoir allows for refill intervals up to four times longer than typical hand watering (up to 2-4 weeks for interior plants, 1-2 weeks for exterior). This moisture control, when combined with sub-irrigation (watering from the bottom) makes CWF the most water-efficient of all irrigation for pots & planters.
Rotationally molded Linear Low-Density Polyethylene material
Each insert may be used in either exterior or interior applications. An overflow drain molded into the bottom of the CWF Low Bowl insert, is filled at use with a riser. This allows excess rainwater out, but keeps the irrigation water in. Should the bowl be used indoors, or not be exposed to rain, a plug is included that can be used to fill the overflow hole.
CWF Low Bowl inserts are typically used in shallow containers of all types.
Stage up the bottom of the CWC Classic insert with foam, gravel, sand, or any other non-porous space filling material. The lip of the insert should be approximately 1″ below the rim of the pot.
CWF Low Bowl container irrigation inserts are inventory items, and small quantities typically ship within 3-5 days from order. Larger quantities may take up to 2-3 weeks.
CWC Low Bowl Irrigation inserts are delivered with a standard plug for normal use. Use our Tamper Resistant Stopper in high-traffic locations to prevent removal.
